Mt. Hyuga (elevation 1,660 m) is a mountain located in the middle of the ridge connecting Mount Kaikomagatake and Mount Nokodake in the Southern Alps. Although the area around the summit is covered with trees, Mt. Hyuga is characterized by a spot called “Gan-gahara,” or “white sand beach in the sky. Gan-ga-hara is a rough terrain of exposed granite that offers a beautiful sight that is hard to believe is the summit of a mountain. Above all, it is easy to climb, even for beginners, so it is highly recommended!

Mountain Climbing Experience
Mt. Hinata is gentle and very easy to climb, even for beginners! The white sand and stone towers at the top of the mountain are so beautiful that I had never seen such a view before, so I was very impressed! Anyway, it is great to be able to see such a spectacular view even though it only takes about 1,660 meters and an hour and a half to climb!
